The Abbeydale Picture House is a much loved, unique building that has become a landmark on the south side of Sheffield. Opened in 1920, this magnificent picture palace entertained generations of cinema and theatre audiences, with silent movies, cine-variety shows and wide-screen spectaculars. It is one of the few cinemas of its age still standing today.
We're raising funds so that we can restore the picture house to its former glory and get the venue up and running again. Our aim is to provide a community venue for performing arts, visual media, theatre, live music and cinema.

Our popular and unique function room is situated beneath the Picture House and has its own private access from Abbeydale Road. It has a fully stocked Bar, Stage, Sound System and a Wooden Dance Floor.
